Tiger-cats Add Six Players To Practice Roster

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats Football Club announced today the team has signed six international players to practice roster agreements, including offensive linemen Marc Dile and Cord Howard, running back Michael Ford, wide receiver Lestar Jean, defensive end Troy Davis and defensive back Tevrin Brandon.
Dile, a 6-4, 300-pound native of Orlando, Florida, spent time with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers earlier in 2015 after starting 28 games over the previous three seasons with the Tiger-Cats. Prior to that, the offensive lineman had stints in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers following his four year career at The University of South Florida.
Howard, a 6-4, 315-pound native of Phenix City, Alabama, played in 12 games with the Blue Bombers in 2014. He also spent time with the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens in 2013 and suited up in 10 games for the Buffalo Bills in 2010 (four starts at guard) after playing three years at Georgia Tech.
Ford, a 5-10, 216-pound native of Leesville, Louisiana, re-joins the Tiger-Cats after registering 37 rushing yards on seven carries and one special teams tackle in three games earlier this season. He appeared in 12 games with the NFL’s Chicago Bears in 2013, returning five kickoffs for 37 yards and collecting three special teams tackles. Ford suited up in 37 games at Louisiana State University from 2009 to 2012, registering 243 carries for 1,392 rushing yards, eight receptions for 69 yards and 14 total touchdowns (13 rushing, 1 receiving).
Jean, a 6-3, 202-pound native of Miami, Florida, appeared in 27 career NFL games with the Houston Texans in 2012 and 2013, registering 10 receptions for 186 yards and a touchdown. The Florida Atlantic University alumnus also had a stint with the Minnesota Vikings in 2014. In 50 games at Florida Atlantic, Jean posted 146 career catches for 1,992 receiving yards with 15 touchdowns.
Davis, a 6-2, 251-pound native of Lawrenceville, Georgia, spent time with the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets over the last two seasons, including suiting up in four games as an outside linebacker with the Jets in 2013 and recording five tackles. Prior to turning pro, he spent four years at The University of Central Florida where he accumulated 18.5 sacks and 125 tackles in 50 career games.
Brandon, a 5-10, 180-pound native of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, signed with the NFL’s Denver Broncos in February and was waived in August. He also spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2014 after a collegiate career split between The University of Connecticut and Monmouth University.
