The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have revealed plans for the team’s celebration of the Final Season of Ivor Wynne Stadium presented by Tim Hortons.
Throughout the season, the Ticats and participating Tim Hortons locations throughout TigerTown (including Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, Brantford, St. George, Paris, Guelph, Cambridge, Kitchener/Waterloo, Grimsby, Caledonia, Hagersville, Cayuga and Binbrook) will celebrate the rich history and tradition of one of the most renowned facilities in Canadian sports history and the players that helped contribute to its legend.

The Tiger-Cats and Tim Hortons have developed two customized property marks to be used in programming to commemorate the Final Season at Ivor Wynne Stadium.
Beginning on June 19, over 217 Tim Hortons locations in the TigerTown region will offer hot beverage cups, Tim Cards and donuts adorned with the Final Season of Ivor Wynne Stadium logos. Final Season programming will also appear on in-store digital media boards throughout the 2012 campaign.
The Final Season logos will be prominent on game-days at Ivor Wynne Stadium. This includes two full colour field logos appearing between the 30-40 yard lines and signage located in each concourse. In addition, a banner counting down the number of games remaining at Ivor Wynne Stadium will encompass the length of Arcelor Mittal Dofasco TigerVision videoboard.
The Ticats will also introduce an initiative to determine the greatest players to ever suit up for the black and gold. In June, fans will have the chance to vote for their favourite players as part of the All-Time Tiger-Cats team. A selection committee comprised of alumni, media and fans have narrowed the field down to approximately 122 individuals. The season-long initiative will present fans with the opportunity to select the 28 members of the all-time team and win great prizes. The All-Time Tiger-Cats will be presented at a special ceremony at the regular season finale on October 27. Further details regarding the All-Time Tiger-Cats team will be provided in the near future. Legendary Ticats players will be present at each game to participate in autograph signings, in-game interviews, and more.
The final regular season game will be an event that should not be missed. In addition to the presentation of the All-Time Tiger-Cats team, the stadium finale will feature a postgame closing ceremony that will send the stadium off fittingly. All fans in attendance will also receive a commemorative keepsake to hold their ticket to the final game. Additional information regarding the finale will be unveiled later this season.
“We’re ecstatic that Tim Hortons, an iconic Hamilton brand, has stepped up to help us appropriately honour the history and tradition of this extraordinary building that has provided outstanding memories to generations of Hamiltonians," said Tiger-Cats President Scott Mitchell. "While we look forward to the completion of our new world-class stadium in 2014, we will ensure that the final season of Ivor Wynne is celebrated from the opening kickoff on June 29 until the closing ceremonies on October 27.”
"Tim Hortons and its restaurant owners have been proud supporters of the Tiger-Cats for many years," said Tim Hortons Store Owner Aron Burch. "Helping the fans celebrate the team's storied history, great moments and players and its special place in Hamilton is an honour for us. We're looking forward to an amazing season."
