The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today they have signed import quarterback Dan LeFevour and import offensive lineman Brandon Thomas.
LeFevour, a 6-3, 230-pound native of Downers Grove, Illinois, became the first player in NCAA history to pass for 12,000 yards and run for 2,500 yards during his career at Central Michigan. He set an FBS record with 150 total touchdowns (102 passing, 47 rushing, 1 receiving) while his 15,853 yards of total offence rank second in NCAA history. He also holds conference records for total offence, passing yards, touchdown passes, completions and attempts.
Following his collegiate career, LeFevour was selected by the Chicago Bears in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. After being placed on the Bears practice roster, he was claimed by the Cincinnati Bengals and spent the rest of the season as their third quarterback. In 2011, LeFevour spent time with the Bengals, the Indianapolis Colts and the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Thomas, a 6-5, 296-pound native of Cleveland, Ohio, joins the Ticats after finishing his NCAA career at Arkansas State.
