Tiger-Cats quarterback Henry Burris has been named the Canadian Football League’s Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Ticats to a 37-29 victory over the BC Lions last Saturday.

Burris completed 25-of-35 pass attempts for 375 yards and four touchdowns while rushing for 12 yards. He has now thrown for over 300 yards in four straight games and seven of 10 contests this season.  Burris leads the CFL with 3,181 passing yards and is on pace to break his team record of 5,467 passing yards set in 2012.

Burris enters Friday’s game in Calgary needing 217 passing yards to join Anthony Calvillo, Damon Allen, Danny McManus and Ron Lancaster as the only players in CFL history to record 50,000 career passing yards.
