Hamilton, Ontario – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are excited to announce that the team has come to terms with 2006 second-round draft pick Peter Dyakowski.

Dyakowski, the 11th overall selection in last year’s CFL Canadian Draft played the past four seasons at LSU, where the 6-5, 310-pound offensive lineman started all 13 games at right tackle in the Tigers’ march to their 2006 Sugar Bowl victory.

“We have begun a new era in Ticats football,” said general manager Marcel Desjardins. “With the signing of Peter we compiled more than a half-dozen of outstanding, young players from the past two CFL drafts. In addition to our existing Canadian players under contract, we believe that we are positioned to have outstanding Canadian talent for years to come and that’s how championship teams in this league are built.”
