Account Executive, Ticket Sales

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Executive, Ticket Sales is responsible for generating new business ticket revenue and season seat retention, with additional sales responsibilities to follow, including but not limited to group sales and flex pack sales. The role is primarily focused on retaining and selling new season seats and through targeted prospecting, face to face meetings and your own personal network. Specifically, to increase revenue for the ticket sales and service team, while leveraging new and unique ideas that will create memorable experiences for fans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The expectation is the candidate will be active and responsible for the following areas:

Outside Sales:

  • Lead generation for New sales team
    • Looking for expressions of interest in 2018 information
    • Booking face to face / open house appointments for New sales team scheduled times at stadium
    • Event RSVPs / Invitations SME community
    • Targeted outbound drop offs

Retention/Inside Sales:

  • Manage assigned accounts and develop strong professional relationships with Ticats season seat holders
  • Regular communication with accounts to ensure proactive service and guarantee renewals
  • Execute client requests for seat relocation, upgrades and additionals
  • Respond to inbound customer calls/emails in a positive and timely manner
  • Execute service and retention initiatives throughout the season to promote engagement and enhance the value proposition
  • Fostering SSH relationships continuing Thank You with messaging around 2018/2019 incentive programs
    • Additional seats
    • Referrals
    • Upgrade = additional renewal rewards
  • Seat beside lists, “New inventory available” once seats are released
    • Specific targeted messaging
  • Prospect, engage and close group sales through targeted prospecting, meetings and networking channels
  • Meet or exceed weekly/monthly/quarterly Ticketing team revenue and prospecting goals
  • This individual will be an important ambassador for the Club’s Business Development agenda. Candidate must be seen as a problem-solver who is consistently focused on possibilities vs. limitations, employing a positive, collaborative team approach to all internal and external relations
  • Work closely with Ticket Operations department to ensure accurate fulfillment of all ticket transactions
  • Participate in various Ticketing team and community events as assigned
  • Maintain accurate records in support of ticket sales and service efforts as defined by the organization
  • Other Tasks/Duties – Actively participate in Tiger-Cats gameday experience; attend all Tiger-Cats home games and will also assume other job function related duties not specifically defined in this offer as assigned by the candidate’s direct report

Measurements of Success

  1. Achieved or surpassed individual and Ticketing team revenue goals
  2. Establish a qualified prospect base through internal provided data, cold-calling, meetings and networking
  3. Actively participating in all ticket sales team meetings and events

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE)

Job Specific Skills and Abilities:

  • The successful candidate will have an established personal and professional network of contacts in the TigerTown region, with an emphasis placed on Hamilton and Greater Hamilton Area
  • Must be a great communicator!
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Can create, develop and nurture relationships
  • Is positive, outgoing and enjoys sales!
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Is self-motivated and gets out of bed every day excited about coming to work and driving revenue

 Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years applied sales experience
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in marketing, business, sports administration or other related discipline an asset

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

  • Will be required to work all home games, as well as weekends and evenings when necessary
  • Will be required to have access to a vehicle at all times

Operations Team Member

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are looking for energetic, passionate, and dedicated individuals to join our Operations Team. Successful applicants will join our Team in providing world-class game day experience throughout the 2018 season at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Set-up and tear down of all game day marketing and corporate activations
  • Set-up all premium and non-premium ticketing areas, including but not limited to the Club, Seagram’s lounge, Field side, Suite Level, and Coors Light Patio
  • Set-up of any event spaces utilized during games or on off days
  • Assistant all other departments to ensure that the Hamilton Tiger-Cats game day experience is a success
  • Set-up all parking infrastructure and signage
  • Work in a variety of weather conditions, including the possibility of inclement weather

Ideal candidates possess:

  • A charismatic, cheerful, and energetic personality
  • Passion for football, the CFL, the Tiger-Cats, and the Hamilton community
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work well in a team environment

Tiger-Cats Shop – Retail/Game Day Sales Associate

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Retail Sales Associates will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service through the sales of retail merchandise at their assigned outlet.  In this role, our staff will be focused on driving top line sales, strengthening an environment in which customer service is a top priority and offering our fans the best shopping experience available.  Each individual will bring energy, inspiration and a drive to always be the best.  Your passion, energy and excitement will be reflected through your interactions with our fans and is the foundation of our in-store culture.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist customers with locating suitable products, sizes, styles and colours
  • Handling a variety of payment options accurately and in a timely manner through our POS system (ERPLY)
  • Maintenance , merchandising and responsibility for the store location assigned
  • Monitor customer satisfaction through interactions during sales presentations
  • Responds to customer problems with a focus on problem resolution within pre-approved authority limits
  • Seek customer feedback about Ticats products, services and events
  • Performs other duties as delegated or assigned by the Operations Manager, Director of Retail Operations and other Senior Management

Customer Assistance Team (C.A.T.)

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are looking for energetic and enthusiastic people to join our Customer Assistance Team for the remainder of the 2018 season! Each position plays an integral role in successfully creating and delivering world-class Guest Experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ticket Scanners:

  • Greet all guests entering Tim Hortons Field in a friendly manner
  • Scan tickets upon guest entry and upon exit (through smoking gates ONLY)
  • Read tickets carefully to provide accurate directions to seating sections
  • Work efficiently to minimize wait time and congestion at gates

Ushers:

  • Check section before the game to ensure all seats are clean and check again post-game to identify any lost items
  • Correctly direct guests to their seats and resolve any issues that arise with guests who may be in the wrong seats
  • Monitor section throughout the game and ensure no one is encroaching on guests in accessibility seating
  • Hold guests at the top of the section while play is going on

Guest Services Representatives:

  • Address fan inquiries and concerns while stationed at a Guest Services Desk
  • Provide accurate and helpful information to guests on amenities and services provided at Tim Hortons Field
  • Quickly act upon requests or complaints from guests and refer any serious problems to supervisory teams and/or security personnel
  • Facilitate all Guest Experience programs, Lost and Found, and complete Incident Reports

Parking Attendants:

  • Efficiently and safely guide vehicles to parking spots within designated lots
  • Ensure only guests with appropriate parking passes are permitted into the correct lots
  • Quickly process cash transactions ensuring the correct amount of change is provided

Elevator Attendants:

  • Greet all guests using the elevator with a friendly and helpful attitude
  • Ensure safe and efficient travel of guests while using the elevators
  • Provide correct directions to fans upon exit of the elevator

PROMOTIONS TEAM MEMBER

As a member of the Pioneer Promo Team you will attend all of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats home games, leaving a positive and lasting impact on Ticats fans.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Execute in-game promotions and events including but not limited to: pregame and post game promotions, t-shirt tosses, mascot games, flag unfurling, and fan contests
  • Encourage excitement among fans (this includes dancing, chanting, and singing)
  • Must execute a wide range of cheers and other fan engagement techniques
  • Greet and interact with customers
  • Assist with game day setup and breakdown

MASCOT PERFORMER

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform as a Tiger-Cats mascot for all home games, as well as select community appearances and events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Embody the spirit and character of the specific mascot personality you are asked to perform as
  • Interact with fans throughout games and events
  • Represent the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Football Club in a professional manner at all times
  • Create a fun and energetic environment on game days to enhance the in-game experience for fans
  • Ensure mascot costume is well taken care of
  • Communicate with supervisor any repairs/maintenance that the costume may need

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Experience with dance, gymnastics, mime, mascot and/or clowning preferred

  • Must be motivated and excited about interacting with fans of all ages

Act as the ‘eyes and ears’ for mascot performers.

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of each mascot performer (they are performing with limited vision and hearing)
  • Ensure the mascot performer is hydrated, and receives an appropriate amount of breaks
  • Ensure the mascot has a safe path of travel
  • Facilitate crowd control between fans and mascot
  • Interact with fans throughout games and events
