2014: Played in 17 regular season games, starting in two, in his second season in Hamilton…registered 18 defensive tackles, seven special teams tackles, one tackle for a loss, two fumble recoveries, one forced fumble and one interception. Playoffs: Played in both of the Ticats playoff games, including the 102nd Grey Cup vs. Calgary…had two defensive tackles in the post-season.

2013: Attended mini-camp with the NFL’s New York Giants on a tryout basis but was not signed by the team…signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on June 24…played 15 regular season games, starting in one, with the Tiger-Cats…made four defensive tackles, a tackle for a loss, 10 special teams tackles in his rookie season…made Ticats debut vs. Edmonton on July 7…recorded first CFL tackle at Winnipeg on August 16…Playoffs: Played in all three of the Tiger-Cats playoff games, including the 101st Grey Cup vs. Saskatchewan…made three defensive tackles.

College Description

Played 31 games in four seasons (2009-12) at Laval after transferring from Baylor University (2008)…finished CIS career with 123.5 defensive tackles (93 solo, 61 assisted), 4.5 quarterback sacks and five interceptions…had 34.5 defensive tackles (27 solo, 15 assisted) and two sacks in his final year at Laval…named a first-team All-Canadian and a RSEQ All-Star in 2010 and 2012…honoured as the CIS President’s Trophy winner in 2012, which is awarded to the CIS’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player…participated in the 2012 CIS East-West Bowl as a member of the East team…invited to the 2012 CFL Evaluation Camp…recorded the fastest 40-yard dash time (4.63) and highest vertical jump (38”), second most reps on the bench press (27), and the third fastest 3-cone drill time (6.88) among linebackers at the 2012 CFL E-Camp…was ranked fifth in the final 2012 CFL Scouting Bureau.


Born Frederic Gelin Plesius to Jean Plesius and Ginette Rivert on February 10, 1988 in Lennoxville, Quebec…attended Champlain College in Lennoxville, Quebec, where he was named the team’s MVP and a CEGEP AAA All-Star.
