Dennis Polian will join the Tiger-Cats football operations next month, the Hamilton Spectator reports.

“In essence, he’s here to become an assistant in any way (General Manager) Bob O’Billovich wants him to,” said club president Scott Mitchell. “Bob will determine the details of their working relationship.”

If the last name sounds familiar, it should, the Spec explains. Polian is the son of Bill Polian, the president of the National Football League’s Indianapolis Colts. Polian’s brother, Chris, is the Colts’ vice-president.

“I want to follow in my dad’s and my brother’s footsteps. Scott being in Hamilton, and Bob being there and Charlie Taaffe being there, that was the attraction. They are all people I can learn a great deal from. It’s a community that works hard and is proud, and they just love their teams.”
