Career

2012: Played in 15 games, starting 14, in his first season with the Tiger-Cats…spent the final three games on the injured list…recorded 31 defensive tackles and led the team with six quarterback sacks…also had two fumbles forced. 

2011: Played in nine games during his fourth season with the Alouettes..made 14 defensive tackles, one quarterback sack and one interception.

2010: Played in all 18 games in his third season with the Alouettes… recorded 21 defensive tackles, eight sacks, one tackle for a loss and two forced fumbles… played in the Alouettes Grey Cup win over Saskatchewan.

2009: Played in 17 games during his second season in Montreal…registered 26 defensive tackles, three quarterback sacks and one tackle for a loss…played in the Alouettes Grey Cup win over Saskatchewan.

2008: Played in eight games with the Montreal Alouettes after signing in September…made 17 defensive tackles, six quarterback sacks, three forced fumbles, three tackles for a loss and one interception…suited up in Montreal’s Grey Cup loss to Calgary.  

2007: Attended training camp with the NFL’s Tennessee Titans after signing as a free agent on April 30…was released by the Titans on August 26.

College

Played four seasons (2003-06) at UAB…made 153 tackles, 245 tackles for a loss, 14 quarterback sacks and one interception in 46 games…named to the Conference USA All-Freshman team in 2003.

Born Aug. 29, 1984 in North Chicago, Illinois…played football at Lakeside High School (Atlanta, GA)…son of Theresa Murphy and Thomas McElveen...majored in communication studies at UAB.
