Ticats Sign WR/KR Kevin Robinson

Hamilton, Ontario –
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that the team has added import wide receiver/kick returner Kevin Robinson to the practice roster.

Robinson, a 5-11, 196-pound native of Fresno, California, was selected in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.  In eight games with the Chiefs, Robinson saw action primarily on special teams, returning 19 kickoffs for 420 yards and 11 punts for 94 yards.

Robinson played four years at Utah State, where he set new school records for career punt return yards (1,104), punt return touchdowns (4), kickoff returns (110), kickoff return yards (2,725) and kickoff return touchdowns (4).  The 24-year-old also caught 178 passes for 2,485 yards and 21 touchdowns.  His average of 16.16 yards every time he touched the ball set an NCAA career-record.
