TIGER-CATS TRADE RUNNING BACK GABLE TO ESKIMOS

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Monday that the football club has acquired the rights to two players from the negotiation list of the Edmonton Eskimos in exchange for international running back C.J. Gable.

Gable, 29, played 51 games for the Tiger-Cats over the last five seasons (2013-17), registering 407 carries for 2,372 yards and 17 touchdowns, and adding 147 receptions for 1,497 yards and eight receiving touchdowns. The 6-0, 219-pound native of Sylmar, California, was named a CFL East Division All-Star twice (2013, 2016) and a runner-up for the league’s Most Outstanding Rookie Award in 2013.
