The Canadian Football League announced the 2023 team award winners Wednesday, including the six Hamilton Tiger-Cats selections.

MOST OUTSTANDING PLAYER – WR TIM WHITE
White, 29, was named Hamilton’s Most Outstanding Player for the second consecutive season. The 5’10, 185-pound receiver has played in all 17 games this season and currently ranks among the league leaders in various categories, including first in receiving yards (1269), tied for third in receiving touchdowns (8) and seventh in receptions (75) with one game to play. White was also named to the CFL’s Honour Roll in week 14.
MOST OUTSTANDING DEFENSIVE PLAYER – LB SIMONI LAWRENCE
Lawrence, 34, was named the Tiger-Cats Most Outstanding Defensive Player for the fifth time (2014, ’15, ’19, ’21) in his career. The 6’1, 231-pound linebacker has started all 17 games for the Tiger-Cats this season and ranks second in the league in forced fumbles (three). With one game remaining on the schedule, Lawrence has registered 83 defensive tackles, one interception, five quarterback sacks, and 10 pass knockdowns. Earlier in the season Lawrence entered the CFL’s top-10 all-time tackles list.
MOST OUTSTANDING CANADIAN – DB STAVROS KATSANTONIS*
Katsantonis, 27, was unanimously named the Tiger-Cats Most Outstanding Canadian for the first time in his career. The 5’10, 190-pound defensive back is tied for second in the league with five interceptions this season and has also registered 56 total tackles, two quarterback sacks, one forced fumble, and four pass knockdowns. Katsantonis was named to the CFL’s Honour Roll for week 18.
MOST OUTSTANDING OFFENSIVE LINEMAN – OL BRANDON REVENBERG
Revenberg, 30, has been named Hamilton’s Most Outstanding Offensive Lineman for the third consecutive season and fourth time in his career, also earning a nomination back in 2018. The 6’4, 301-pound offensive lineman started all 17 games for the Tiger-Cats this season and was named to the CFL’s Honour Roll for week 17 and for the month of July.
MOST OUTSTANDING SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER – RET TYREIK MCALLISTER
McAllister, 25, has been named Hamilton’s Most Outstanding Special Teams Player for the first time in his career. The 5’11, 180-pound native of Latta, South Carolina was Hamilton’s go-to special teams returner in 2023. McAllister returned 57 punts, averaging 10.2 yards per return and ranks sixth in the league in punt return yards (568). McAllister also returned 38 kickoffs, ranking fourth in total return yards (958), third in return average (25.2), and also holds the third longest kickoff return this season at 71 yards with one game left to play in the season.
MOST OUTSTANDING ROOKIE – QB TAYLOR POWELL
Powell, 25, was named Hamilton’s Most Outstanding Rookie for the 2023 season. The 6’2, 207-pound native of Fayetteville, Arkansas started nine games at quarterback completing 18 of 273 passes (68.5%) for 2,177 yards, and 10 touchdowns. Powell was also a mobile threat rushing 28 times for 196 yards, and a touchdown, averaging seven yards per carry.
