The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are pleased to announce that the football club has partnered with Lou’s Kitchen to create a new community initiative during the 2019 season that supports the Purolator Tackle Hunger™ program. For every Ticats sack this season, Lou’s Kitchen will donate 100 pounds of food to the Purolator Tackle Hunger initiative, supporting local food banks in Hamilton.
“We are pleased to partner with the Ticats football club and to be the presenting sponsor of the Ticats Defensive SACKS. We are delighted to support Canadian sport and to provide food to Hamilton’s local food banks.” Dan Davies, President TMF Foods.
The Tiger-Cats currently lead the Canadian Football League in sacks (18), averaging 3.6 sacks per game this season. Lou’s Kitchen is on pace to raise over 7,000 pounds of food for Purolator Tackle Hunger through this community program in 2019.
Since its inception in 2003, the Purolator Tackle Hunger program has helped deliver more than 13 million pounds of food to food banks across Canada and Tiger-Cats Fans and Partners always help lead the CFL in donations each season.
