June 6th game day marked highest traffic day ever across Ticats digital platforms

The live stream broadcast of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats preseason finale against the Toronto Argonauts on Thursday, June 6 marked the highest traffic day ever for Ticats digital platforms. Page views across the Ticats digital landscape, including the newly redesigned Ticats All Access app, were at record levels throughout the day, with an 86% increase compared to the Ticats 2016 preseason game live stream.

Fan Engagement Highlights include:

  • Biggest day ever for Ticats digital platforms (page views)
  • 86% growth in viewership over previous live stream high (June 17, 2016) was driven by the all-new Ticats All Access app, which contributed to 46% of overall engagement
  • Most engaged streaming audience for Ticats preseason live stream broadcast ever, with an average viewing time of 97 minutes (30% higher than June 16, 2017 live streamed game)

“We’ve been live streaming our non-televised preseason games since 2015 with great success,” said Tiger-Cats President and COO, Matt Afinec. “This season, we were able to stream the game natively in our completely redesigned Ticats All Access app, providing the ultimate viewing experience for fans watching at home and on the go.
