The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced a series of transactions Tuesday, including signing American defensive back Rodney Randle Jr. and American receiver Jaylon Redd.
Randle Jr., 25, played 19 games over two seasons with the Montreal Alouettes (2021-22), registering 44 defensive tackles, 11 special teams tackles and two interceptions. The 6-0, 170-pound native of Beaumont, Texas also spent time in the National Football League with the San Diego Chargers (2019) and in the XFL with the Tampa Bay Vipers (2020).
Redd, 23, attended mini-camp with the National Football League’s Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2022). The 5-9, 170-pound native of Carson, California played 52 games over five seasons (2017-21) at the University of Oregon, registering 131 receptions for 1,435 yards with 16 receiving touchdowns, also adding 24 carries for 179 yards with five rushing touchdowns.
