The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Alumni Association are excited to announce that Willie Bethea and Bob Krouse will be inducted onto the Wall of Honour in 2012.
Bethea spent eight years (1963-70) with the Ticats, rushing for the third-most rushing yards (3,919) and sixth-most rushing touchdowns (21) in team history. He played an key role in the Ticats 1963, 1965 and 1967 Grey Cup championship teams and was named a East Division All-Star in 1967.
Krouse, a linebacker, played with the Ticats for 13 seasons, joining the team directly from Hamilton’s Central High School in 1963. During his lengthy career, Krouse appeared in 174 games and helped the Black and Gold reach the Grey Cup final five times, earning championship rings in 1963, 1965, 1967 and 1972. He was named an East Division All-Star in 1967. His 174 regular season appearances rank ninth in Ticats history.
The annual Wall of Honour dinner, which will also honour the Ticats 1972 Grey Cup championship squad, will take place on October 25 at Carmen’s Banquet Centre. Tickets are available at the TigerTown Store (1 Jarvis Street) or by calling 905-547-CATS (2287).
