OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Account Executive, Business Development is responsible for generating new business ticket revenue and group sales revenue. The role is primarily focused on selling new season seat packages, premium seating packages and group ticket packages through targeted prospecting, face to face meetings and your own personal network. The primary focus is increasing revenue for the new business, premium seating and group sales teams, while leveraging new and unique ideas that will create memorable experiences for fans. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of outbound sales experience preferably in sports industry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The expectation is the candidate will be active and responsible for the following areas:

  • Prospect, engage and close new season seat and premium seating sales through targeted prospecting, meetings and networking channels
  • Meet or exceed weekly/monthly/quarterly Ticketing team revenue and prospecting goals
  • This individual will be an important ambassador for the Club’s Business Development agenda. Candidate must be seen as a problem-solver who is consistently focused on possibilities vs. limitations, employing a positive, collaborative team approach to all internal and external relations
  • Assist Group Sales and the New Business team, ensuring revenue targets are being achieved
  • Work closely with Ticket Operations department to ensure accurate fulfillment of all ticket transactions
  • Participate in various Ticketing team and community events as assigned
  • Maintain accurate records in support of ticket sales and service efforts as defined by the organization
  • Other Tasks/Duties – Actively participate in Tiger-Cats gameday experience; attend all Tiger-Cats home games and will also assume other job function related duties not specifically defined in this offer as assigned by the candidate’s direct report

Measurements of Success

  1. Achieved or surpassed individual and Ticketing team revenue goals
  2. Establish a qualified prospect base through internal provided data, cold-calling, meetings and networking
  3. Actively participating in all ticket sales team meetings and events

Job Specific Skills and Abilities:

  • The successful candidate will have an established personal and professional network of contacts in the TigerTown region, with an emphasis placed on Hamilton and Greater Hamilton Area

Mascot

Reports to: Director Game Production & Events 

Job Summary: 

The Hamilton Sports Group are looking for dedicated, responsible & active individuals with a flexible
schedule to dress as the mascots for community events, appearances & game days as needed. Selected individuals will be added to our list of mascots to contact for games and events.  

This position pays per game/event. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Perform as the mascot personality in the eyes of the public. 
  • Interact with kids and fans during events in a positive and exciting way. 
  • Work with mascot spotter to ensure both fan and mascot safety 
  • Appearances may also include but not limited to suite visits, crowd prompts, dancing & various photo opportunities. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications: 

  • Expression of a friendly, engaging, enthusiastic & animated personality within a non-speaking role. 
  • Must be comfortable performing & interacting with fans in front of large crowds. 
  • Good physical condition with the ability to withstand the demands of performing in a costume. 
  • Ability to be self-sufficient and work individually when needed. 
  • Flexible schedule – Must be able to work home games, nights/weekends and holidays as required. 
  • Prior mascot or related experience preferred but not required. 
  • Minimum 18 years of age. 
  • Must be able to provide proof of full vaccination

Operations Team Member

Start Date: February 2023

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Forge FC are looking for energetic, passionate, and dedicated individuals to join our Operations Team. Successful applicants will join our Team in providing a world-class game-day experience throughout the 2023 season at Tim Hortons Field.

Responsibilities and Duties:                                           

  • Set-up and tear down of all game-day marketing and corporate activations
  • Set-up all premium and non-premium ticketing areas, including but not limited to the Club Level, Suite Level, and Stelco North End
  • Execute stadium conversion from Forge to Tiger-Cats and vice versa, including all in-bowl branding
  • Set-up of any event spaces utilized during games or on off days
  • Set-up all parking infrastructure and signage
  • Assist all other departments to ensure that the game-day experience is a success
  • Assist with stadium setup for licensee events
  • Work in a variety of weather conditions, including the possibility of inclement weather

Ideal candidates possess:

Guest Experience Team

TERM LENGTH: April 2023 – December 2023

OVERVIEW

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Forge FC are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join the Guest Experience Team (GE Team) for the 2023 season! Each position plays an integral role in successfully creating and delivering a world-class guest experience at Tim Hortons Field. The GE Team works all events at Tim Hortons Field. This includes: Hamilton Tiger-Cats home games, Forge FC home games, concerts and other sporting events.

This opportunity is perfect for anyone looking to gain experience working in event management, the sport and entertainment industry and who enjoys working in a team and customer-facing environment.

Currently, game day opportunities are available to work Tiger-Cats games and the 110th Grey Cup. Additional opportunities to work other events may become available for team members at a later date.

Game day opportunities include:

  • Ticket Scanners
  • Ushers
  • Parking Attendants

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Ticket Scanners:

  • Greet all guests entering Tim Hortons Field in a friendly manner
  • Scan tickets upon guest entry
  • Read tickets carefully to provide accurate directions to seating sections
  • Work efficiently in a team environment to minimize wait time and congestion at gates
  • Assist co-workers in other positions by covering for breaks

Ushers:

  • Check assigned section before events to ensure all seats are presentable and after events to identify any lost items
  • Correctly direct guests to their seats and to other areas of interest inside Tim Hortons Field
  • Monitor assigned section throughout events and resolve any minor issues or concerns that arise
  • Check to ensure that nobody encroaches on guests in accessibility seating
  • Hold guests at the top of assigned section while football plays are ongoing
  • Interact and converse with guests to enhance their overall experience at the venue

Parking Attendants:

  • Ensure only guests with appropriate parking passes are permitted into correct lots
  • Quickly process transactions for guests parking at paid lots
  • Efficiently and safely guide vehicles in an organized manner to parking spots within designated lots

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Retail Sales Associates will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service through the sales of retail merchandise at their assigned outlet. In this role, our staff will be focused on driving top line sales, strengthening an environment in which customer service is a top priority and offering our fans the best shopping experience available. Each individual will bring energy, inspiration and a drive to always be the best. Your passion, energy and excitement will be reflected through your interactions with our fans and is the foundation of our in-store culture.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Assist customers with locating suitable products, sizes, styles and colours
  • Handle a variety of payment options accurately and in a timely manner through our POS system (ERPLY)
  • Maintenance, merchandising and responsibility of an assigned store location
  • Monitor customer satisfaction through interactions during sales presentations
  • Respond to customer problems with a focus on problem resolution within pre-approved limits
  • Seek customer feedback about Ticats products, services and events

In 2023 the Tiger-Cats and City of Hamilton will host the 110th Grey Cup where the organization will be responsible for the development and execution of an innovation Grey Cup Festival.

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Coordinator Client Service, Grey Cup Festival Corporate Partnerships is primarily responsible for overseeing the execution of the marketing partnerships of a select group of Grey Cup Festival partners. In this role, they will go beyond the management of relationships and transactions to be a true solutions provider for our partners. This individual will also support the creative service team by executing partner creative requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Work directly with the Corporate Sales Team as a member of the department service team to oversee the fulfillment of sponsorship agreements including the on-going communication with all assigned sponsorship accounts.
· Develop creative assets for partnership assets such as social media, sales collateral, videoboard graphics, etc.
· Manage the execution of pre and regular season and Grey Cup Festival partnership deliverables – creative approvals, digital campaign development and execution, as well as the execution of contract deliverables such as; promotional contests, hotel needs, tickets, merchandise, player and cheerleader appearances.
· Work with the Marketing/Events group to ensure effective fulfillment of partner activations on gamedays and during the Grey Cup Festival
· Liaise with suppliers/contractors to facilitate the execution of sponsor-related programs.
· Analyze sponsor activation performance, make sound strategic conclusions and communicate them through the presentation of post-season reports.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Related university degree, college diploma or equivalent industry experience
· 3+ years corporate partnership service, media sales service or agency experience
· Well versed and extremely capable in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign
– Knowledge of Adobe After Effects is an asset
· Excellent comprehension and ease with the application of Microsoft Office programs, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
· Understanding of activating sponsorships, core partnership marketing concepts, valuation, program customization
· Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills in all internal and external relations
· Ability to establish and grow trusted relationships
· Strong Attention to detail with the ability and initiative to work independently

Content Producer, Hamilton Sports Group

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Evaluate, implement, and utilize digital media equipment, software, and services that meet the needs of the content & creative services team
  • Develop and ensure all media meets accessibility standards for online delivery.
  • Produce and deploy content in video and audio formats for various content and social channels.
  • Capture, convert and optimize audio and video recordings for use on the web
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend emerging digital media technologies and methodologies.

Intern, Video Production

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Produce video content for social media, ticats.ca, forgefc.canpl.ca, and the game day videoboard
  • Cover day-to-day media conferences at Tim Hortons Field
  • Edit videos using Adobe Creative Suite with a focus on Premiere and After Effects
  • Add graphical elements and animation and render out final formats
  • Assemble, prepare, and set up equipment prior to filming, including: tripods, monitors, lighting, and cables
  • Ability to find solutions to technical and/or other practical problems that may occur
  • Post, update, and coordinate content on ticats.ca and other social media outlets
  • Identify potential news story ideas relevant to the Tiger-Cats Football Club and Forge FC and its programs and initiatives
  • Assist in content effort surrounding Tiger-Cats and Forge FC strategies/events
  • Assist in the creation of social media content, including: photos and blog post
  • Collaborate on social media projects and contests to promote engagement and expand fan base
  • Assist with general administrative work including but not limited to: maintaining/organizing files, data entry, copying, filing, and faxing

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Football and soccer IQ (ideally some CFL and CPL knowledge)
