Hage’s Heroes Helps Out In Montreal

Earlier this week, with the help of FTC Canada, Tiger-Cats offensive lineman Marwan Hage took his Hage’s Heroes program on the road as the 2009 CFLPA All-Star helped distribute food and hygiene boxes to 450 families in Montreal.

Hage, a Montreal resident, was on hand at the Sun Youth Organization building to personally distribute the boxes to families in need.  The Sun Youth Organization is a downtown Montreal community centre serving youth, seniors and low income families.  Keltic Transport Inc. also helped out by donating a truck to move the food and hygiene boxes.

Hage was awarded the 2009 Tom Pate Award at last year’s CFL Player Award ceremonies after Hage’s Heroes hosted food drives that fed over 2,300 families and welcomed thousands of Hamilton kids to Ticats games.
