Acquired: Acquired in a trade with the BC Lions February 9, 2023 for the Argos first-round draft pick, ninth overall, in the 2023 CFL Draft.

2022: Played 18 games with BC Lions. Recorded 89 defensive tackles, 7 special teams tackles, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries. Had an 11-tackle game at Montreal on September 9. Playoffs: Recorded 3 tackles in Western Semi-Final win over Calgary. Recorded 7 tackles in Western Final loss at Winnipeg.

2021: Played 14 games. Recorded 92 defensive tackles, 5 special teams tackles, 1 sack, and 1 interception. His 92 tackles ranked second most in the league and broke Mike O’Shea’s record of 75 tackles by a Canadian rookie. Named BC’s Most Outstanding Rookie. Named West Division Most Outstanding Rookie. Named CFL Most Outstanding Rookie. Made CFL debut August 6 at Saskatchewan. Recorded his first CFL sack in that game against Cody Fajardo. His first CFL interception came August 28 at Ottawa against Matt Nichols.

2020: Selected in the first round, first overall, of the CFL Draft. No season. Played 3 games for the Generals in The Spring League.

College: Attended East Carolina University (2014-17). Played 45 games. Recorded 252 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 1 interception, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovered. Had a career high as a senior with 89 tackles…Attended Shaw University (2014). Redshirted.

Personal: Attended Jack Britt High School. Twice named All-Mid-South Conference. Had 102 tackles in his senior year, 107 as a junior. Is considered a National player because his mother was born in Toronto.
